Shiver me timbers landlubbers, read a true tale of the Westpac Bank crew who went roaming around the historic 'Sydney Rocks' in search of real treasure last week.
Westpac is Australia's first and oldest bank, and is no stranger to the convict and pirating ways of old, visiting their very own Westpac museum on Playfair street in the heart of The Rocks!
Westpac Treasure hunting crews aptly gathered and after much laughter in the team / crew brief, set sail from Headquarters on Sussex Street embarking on their team celebration. An adventure in Sydney discovering The Belgium Beer Cafe, The Australian Hotel, Observatory Hill, The Bond, The Historic Rocks and finishing at Moretons Pub for a well earned drink, near Darling Harbour.
Each Sydney Rocks location revealed teams Collecting and pondered clues, found their locations from coordinates of the THRILL 'ye olde worlde' map. Calling in at Cadmans cottage, and trawling round the Circular Quay side encountering THRILL staff who promptly chained them up in a convict chain gang line up.
Once teams escaped the pirates handcuffs, Westpac made their way to .... The team celebration grand finale.
Moretons Pub on Sussex Street Opposite the new home of American Express and KPMG Millers Point. Here the Treasure Chest was recovered and cleverly opened by a lovely bright lass in almost record time.
Louise Edwards, Westpac Team Coordinator expressed her immense satisfaction with the program, commenting that "all the congratulations that I have recieved should go to Thrill, for coordinating an excellent Treasure Hunt that involved everyone".
