I. The Valley of Whispering Ferns
Where the mountain mists kiss ancient trees,
And morning sings in minor keys,
Lies Bally’s land, so wild and free,
A haven that requires no productivity.
Kookaburra and Whip Birds guard the dawn,
While wallabies leap through silver fern,
Koalas, drape their shape in grey gum eucalyptus shade,
Dream in peace beyond the touch of human made.
II. A Place the Wild Ones Call Their Own
Not built for profit, nor for fame,
But born from love—no need for name.
A family’s heart, their hands, their tears,
Built Bally through the healing years.
They took in creatures hurt and scared,
From storm-tossed nests and traps ensnared,
And offered more than just a wild home,
They taught the lost to lift their head.
III. The Echo of the Sanctuary
Stillness speaks where silence grows,
Among the trails where wild casuarinas bow.
Each footstep feels like sacred ground,
Where nature’s lullaby is found.
Currawongs cry, a dingo’s tread,
Ringtails and gliders nesting overhead,
All watched by eyes so fierce, yet kind,
As if they sense the human mind.
And those who visit leave behind,
