Give the project a purpose
Thrill opens with an engaging brief and introduces the shared challenge. If gifting is part of your event, explain who the receiving organisation supports and what it has agreed to accept.

Corporate teams · Conferences · Staff days · Charity team building
Something wonderful happens when ideas take shape
Someone imagines the design. Someone works out the structure. Someone brings the colour. Together, your team turns separate ideas into a kite they can hold, test and proudly send into the air.
Thrill’s kite-building workshops combine creative expression with practical teamwork. Colleagues share materials, explain decisions and solve problems together, supported by facilitators who keep the session moving and make space for different strengths.
For a corporate conference, it is a welcome change of pace. For a staff development day, it becomes a practical way to explore communication and collaboration. With an agreed charity recipient, it can also create a gift for children’s play beyond your event.
From imagination to lift-off
Thrill opens with an engaging brief and introduces the shared challenge. If gifting is part of your event, explain who the receiving organisation supports and what it has agreed to accept.
Choose colours, symbols and a story. Your kite might express a team value, a hopeful message or a completely original idea. Everyone can help shape the creative direction.
Share construction tasks and assemble the selected kite design using the supplied materials. Follow instructions, check connections and practise clear handovers between teammates.
Explore how shape, balance and wind affect flight. Thrill guides checks and adjustments, inviting teams to compare what they expected with what they observed.
When the site and conditions are suitable, head outside for a facilitated flying session. Celebrate a successful launch, a useful adjustment and the people who helped make it happen.
Reflect on how the team worked, then prepare any agreed donations for handover. Confirm kite condition, instructions and packing so the receiving organisation knows what it is getting.
A canvas for your collective imagination

Think bold patterns, playful characters, shared aspirations and a burst of team colour. Thrill can shape the creative brief around a conference theme such as fresh perspectives, working together or reaching further.
Construction gives the artwork a purpose. The design has to work as a kite, so teams balance imagination with instructions, shared decisions and careful checking.
Ask about the kite styles available for your event, from smaller designs to larger team builds. Thrill confirms materials, dimensions and suitable decorating methods in your proposal.
Kites for Kids · Thoughtful giving
A kite offers an invitation to play, explore and spend time outdoors. A worthwhile donation begins by asking whether that gift fits the children, families or community program receiving it.
Thrill can help scope a charity kite-building event around an agreed receiving organisation. The proposal should confirm acceptance, appropriate kite styles, quantities and delivery arrangements before the workshop proceeds.
Consider the age group, available flying space, supervision and the organisation’s ability to use or distribute the kites. A smaller, suitable contribution is more useful than an unwanted surplus.
Agree whether kites are to be gifted unflown or after a supervised test. Check condition and completeness, and include the appropriate instructions and accessories specified for the selected kits.
Agree who packs, transports and receives the kites. Request an acknowledgement where available; recipient attendance, photographs and personal stories are optional, not promised.
Your team can add a friendly message where the receiving organisation welcomes it. Children do not need to attend the corporate event for the contribution to have value.
Discuss a Kites for Kids event ↗The Thrill facilitation difference
Thrill connects the activity to what your team needs from the day. A lighthearted celebration calls for a different approach from a leadership workshop or a cross-department collaboration session.
Practise explaining a step, checking understanding and asking for help before a small misunderstanding becomes a bigger problem.
Share designing, building, checking and presenting. Notice whose ideas are heard and how the group makes room for different contributions.
Discuss how the team responds when its first plan needs changing. Use the experience to agree one practical improvement for a workplace project.
The debrief can be brief and celebratory or more structured, depending on your objectives. Thrill agrees the depth of facilitation with you rather than treating every event as the same workshop.
Choose the experience that fits
An indoor creative workshop with a shared construction challenge and a team showcase. A useful option when your agenda or venue does not allow an outdoor flight session.
Combine the making session with facilitated flying at a suitable approved outdoor space. Flight depends on the site, weather and wind; agree an indoor alternative in advance.
Add an agreed donation pathway to the creative team experience. Confirm recipient suitability, kite quantities, checks, packing and handover within the event scope.
Ask Thrill to include a resource-collection quest or teamwork challenges before the build. Teams earn or locate materials, then combine their resources for the final creative task.
Each format is quoted to your brief. Tell us your group size, venue, available time and whether giving, celebration or team development is the priority.
Help me choose my format ↗Easy to brief. Carefully coordinated.
Use conference tables for the design and construction phase, with materials organised for each working group. If flying is included, Thrill will assess the proposed outdoor space and plan the transition from the workshop.
For large conferences, discuss facilitator coverage, clear demonstrations, material distribution, movement between spaces and packing time. Staggered groups may suit your venue better than a single outdoor launch.
Participants can contribute through design, assembly, organisation, presentation and reflection. Share access requirements early so Thrill can plan suitable roles, working spaces and routes.

Flying requires suitable wind and a suitable open site away from hazards. Thrill confirms venue permissions and event arrangements during planning. If conditions prevent flying, use the agreed indoor design, construction and showcase format; flight or a replacement date is not automatically guaranteed.

A few things you may be wondering
A facilitated activity where colleagues design and assemble kites in small working groups. Thrill can include outdoor flying, team reflection and an agreed charity gifting pathway, depending on your event brief.
Yes, where a suitable receiving organisation agrees to accept them. Kite type, quantities, condition, instructions and delivery need to be confirmed before the event. Donation is a planned option, not an automatic inclusion.
No specialist experience is expected. Thrill explains the selected build and guides teams through it. Participants can contribute in different ways, from designing and organising to assembling and presenting.
Designing, building and presenting can take place indoors in a suitable room. Flying is a separate outdoor element that depends on site suitability and conditions.
The event follows the alternative agreed in your proposal. This may be an indoor build, creative showcase and team reflection. Thrill does not promise flight in unsuitable conditions.
Thrill can scope the event for conference groups, with capacity confirmed against the venue, materials, facilitator requirements and timing. Send your expected attendance so the plan can be designed around your group.
The current Thrill program is typically planned within a one-to-three-hour window. The final duration depends on kite design, group size, flying, learning activities and any charity arrangements; your proposal confirms the schedule.
Share your date, location or venue, participant numbers, available time, budget and desired outcomes. Tell Thrill whether you want an indoor workshop, outdoor flying, charity gifting or a combination.
