TEAMS WE’VE WORKED WITH
From leading companies to community-focused organisations.
What Would You Like Your Team to Achieve?
The right activity starts with a clear brief. Are you welcoming new colleagues, reconnecting departments, celebrating an achievement or developing the way your team works? We help you select a format that suits the occasion and the people taking part.
| Your priority | A strong starting point | Explore |
|---|---|---|
| Build relationships | Shared challenges with varied roles | Amazing Races and team quests |
| Lift conference energy | Short, hosted activities between sessions | Conference energisers and games |
| Give back together | A practical project with a defined recipient need | Charity team building |
| Understand working styles | Structured reflection and facilitated discussion | DiSC, MBTI and team development |
You do not need to arrive with an activity already chosen. Tell us what would make the day worthwhile, and we can discuss the options.
How much time should you allow? As an initial planning guide, consider 30–60 minutes for an energiser, 60–90 minutes for a compact team challenge, or two to three hours for a fuller activity and debrief. Development workshops may need a half or full day. These are indicative agenda windows; your proposal confirms the timing for your chosen program.
SIX WAYS TO BRING YOUR BRIEF TO LIFE
Find Your Team's Next Thrill
Explore a selection of corporate team building activities designed for shared participation. Programs can be adapted to your brief, with timing, venue suitability and delivery requirements confirmed in your proposal.
Amazing Races and Team Quests
Get colleagues thinking, moving and discovering together. Teams interpret clues, make decisions and tackle challenges as they explore a city precinct or suitable venue grounds. A mix of observation, creativity and problem-solving gives different strengths a chance to emerge.
Choose an Amazing Race for an energetic shared adventure, or discuss a more compact quest when your agenda is tight. The route, walking demands and checkpoints should suit your participants. Add a debrief to explore how teams planned, communicated and responded when their first idea did not work.
Thrill Survivor and Outdoor Challenges
Bring a spirit of friendly competition to your staff day. Survivor combines team strategy, resourcefulness and practical challenges in a format that encourages colleagues to organise themselves and contribute.
A suitable beach, park or resort lawn can create a refreshing change from the conference room. We discuss the physical demands, available space and ways to participate before settling on the program. The most valuable moments often come when a team pauses, listens to a new idea and changes its approach together.
Charity Team Building with a Practical Purpose
Give your team a shared project with a purpose beyond the event. Thrill's charity activities include options such as building bikes, toys and other useful items for people and communities in need.
The activity should begin with a genuine recipient requirement. Discuss the proposed items, quality checks, recipient arrangements and handover as part of your brief. Teams can practise coordination and problem-solving while working towards a tangible contribution. Agree on what will be delivered and recorded, so your internal event story reflects the actual outcome.
Creative Team Activities
Make room for ideas that rarely appear in a meeting. Collaborative art, creative challenges and shared performance can encourage colleagues to listen, experiment and build on one another's contributions.
An art activity can connect with your organisation's values or a conference theme. A shared piece also gives people something to discuss after the session. For groups with different confidence levels, choose a format that offers several ways to contribute. The focus is on creating together; artistic experience is not the starting requirement.
ENERGISE
Conference Energisers and Team Bonding Games
Give delegates a reason to look up, join in and connect. Hosted games, short challenges and conference energisers can fit around presentations, networking breaks or a staff celebration.
Consider Minute 2 Win It challenges for a lively session with clear rules and quick rounds. A well-placed activity can also help introduce colleagues before the more formal agenda begins. Tell us about your room layout, available time and audience so the format complements the event. For an evening function, ask about hosted entertainment and interactive group experiences.
DEVELOP
Team Development and Staff Training
When the brief is about how people work together, give the session time for deeper discussion. Thrill offers facilitated team development, including DiSC, MBTI and TMS options delivered by appropriately qualified practitioners.
Explore communication preferences, team roles and the assumptions that affect collaboration. Experiential activities can provide a shared reference point for reflection, followed by practical commitments for the workplace. We help distinguish a celebration brief from a development brief, so you choose the right level of facilitation and preparation.

Team Bonding, Team Building or Team Development?
Team bonding focuses on relationships and shared enjoyment. It is a useful direction for welcoming colleagues, celebrating milestones or reconnecting people who rarely meet in person.
Team building gives people a shared task that calls for communication, coordination and problem-solving. A facilitated debrief can connect the experience with everyday teamwork.
Team development explores working patterns in greater depth. It can include structured workshops, profiling tools, reflection and agreed actions. Choose it when your purpose requires learning that extends beyond the event itself.
These approaches can work together. The important decision is how much of your agenda should be devoted to enjoyment, practice and reflection.

Bolton Clarke: Building Furniture with Purpose
At Rydges South Bank in Brisbane, Thrill brought Bolton Clarke colleagues together for a Furniture for Veterans charity team building event supporting Wounded Heroes. Teams assembled furniture as part of a shared, practical challenge.
Wounded Heroes' published feedback confirms that the furniture was delivered to its Wacol facility for later placement with veterans moving into sustainable accommodation. Read the Bolton Clarke charity case study .

Team Building Across Australia's East Coast
Thrill is mobile to offices, hotels, conference venues and suitable outdoor spaces. Choose a local staff experience or make team building part of a destination retreat.
- Sydney Consider The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Barangaroo or Manly for a shared discovery experience, or bring a workshop into your meeting venue.
- Gold Coast Explore Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and resort settings for coastal challenges, conference activities and staff celebrations.
- Brisbane Discuss CBD and South Bank location ideas, or a venue-based program that keeps your conference group together.
- Byron Bay Connect a staff retreat with a suitable resort quest, outdoor challenge or facilitated workshop.
- Hunter Valley Combine residential meetings with team challenges and shared experiences around your chosen property.
- Sunshine Coast and Noosa Discuss coastal retreat options around Noosa, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Coolum or Caloundra.
Activity suitability, site access and weather arrangements are confirmed during planning. For Melbourne, Canberra or another Australian destination, ask about delivery availability and travel requirements.
Indoor, Outdoor and Uniquely Yours
Indoor Team Building
Bring the energy into your office, hotel or conference room. Charity projects, creative workshops, team challenges and facilitated development sessions can make productive use of your meeting space. Share room dimensions, furniture arrangements and access requirements so the program fits comfortably.
Outdoor Team Building
Turn a suitable beach, park, city precinct or resort lawn into a shared adventure. Amazing Races, Survivor and outdoor challenges create opportunities for movement, discovery and teamwork. Match the route and physical demands to your people, with permissions and a weather alternative agreed during planning.
Customised Around Your Team, Anywhere You Meet
Build a theme into the challenges, connect tasks with company values, or combine an energiser, charity project and reflective debrief. We can explore delivery at your chosen Australian destination, subject to venue suitability, access and availability. Tell us about different mobility, sensory and participation needs so we can discuss meaningful ways for colleagues to contribute.
Agree on Benefits You Can Measure
Choose a few simple measures before your event. For example, your organisation could set these evaluation targets:
- Each participant connects with three colleagues outside their usual working group.
- Every team identifies two behaviours that improved its collaboration.
- Each group agrees on one action to trial over the next 30 days.
- A short survey records perceived connection and session relevance on a five-point scale.
These are suggested measures, not guaranteed results. For a charity program, also record the agreed outputs and confirmed handover. For a development workshop, a manager-led follow-up can help establish whether the team's commitments are being used.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are team building activities?
Team building activities are shared tasks or experiences that give colleagues opportunities to communicate, coordinate and solve problems together. Thrill offers facilitated formats such as Amazing Races, Survivor challenges, charity projects, creative activities and team development workshops, selected around your objectives and participants.
Which activity is best for our corporate team?
Start with your purpose, group size, available time and participation needs. An Amazing Race can suit shared discovery; charity activities offer a practical contribution; creative challenges encourage ideas; and development workshops provide space for deeper reflection. Thrill can help you compare suitable options.
How much do Thrill team building events cost?
Pricing depends on the program, participant numbers, duration, facilitation, equipment and location. Venue hire, transfers or venue services may add to the total. Request a tailored proposal showing the agreed inclusions, additional costs and GST so you can assess the full event budget.
Can you run activities at our office or conference venue?
Yes. Thrill offers mobile delivery to offices, hotels, conference venues and retreat properties. Share the venue, room layout and available spaces so we can assess program suitability, access and equipment requirements. Outdoor locations also need appropriate access and weather arrangements.
Do participants need to be fit or confident performers?
The right format depends on your group. Thrill offers options involving problem-solving, creativity and facilitated discussion as well as active outdoor challenges. Tell us about mobility, access and confidence considerations early so suitable activities and ways to contribute can be discussed.
Can you support small teams and larger conferences?
Thrill works with small business teams and larger corporate groups. The suitable format, number of facilitators and venue requirements depend on your participant numbers and objectives. Include your estimated attendance in the enquiry so the program can be scoped appropriately.
Can the activity reflect our company values or conference theme?
Yes. Discuss your values, conference message or learning objectives during planning. The brief can inform challenge content, team tasks and debrief questions. Thrill's published SIKA case study provides an example of an Amazing Race shaped around a company's conference theme.
What happens if the weather changes?
Agree on a contingency before confirming an outdoor event. Depending on the program and venue, the plan may involve an indoor alternative, a modified activity or adjusted timing. Confirm the decision process and applicable booking terms in your proposal.
Give Your Team Something to Share
