Thrill designs and hosts Amazing Race experiences for corporate teams, conferences and staff celebrations. Bring your people together for hosted challenges, local discoveries and a finish worth cheering.
The experience
A Gold Coast Amazing Race is a hosted group experience combining navigation, clue solving and team challenges across a planned route. Teams work towards a shared finish, with points and tasks giving the journey its purpose.
Thrill brings clue envelopes, live hosting and practical activities into the experience. The balance can favour friendly competition, relaxed staff connection or a more deliberate exploration of communication and teamwork. Choose the pace around the people taking part.

Follow clues to selected locations and tackle a mix of practical, creative and problem-solving tasks. A good race gives different strengths room to show: observation, organisation, imagination and encouragement.
Regroup for the result and the stories behind it. Ask for a closing discussion if you want to connect the experience to work, or finish with a celebration that fits the rest of your agenda.

Choose your starting point
Start with where your delegates are staying and how much time you have. A compact route around one precinct can leave more time for interaction and less time for transfers. These are planning directions; the final checkpoints and access arrangements are confirmed for your event.
Bring the city and beachfront into the experience. Surfers Paradise suits a race that mixes recognisable landmarks, coastal atmosphere and hosted challenges near your hotel or meeting point.
Tell us whether your group is based near Cavill Avenue, the Esplanade or another part of the precinct. We can assess a start and finish that work with your conference agenda.
Consider a compact coastal route for delegates conferencing or staying in Broadbeach. The aim is to connect useful challenge locations while keeping the group close to its next commitment.
For a brief around Kurrawa, The Star or the convention centre precinct, share the venue and available time. Site suitability and permissions shape the final activity plan.
Ask about a race around Main Beach, Southport, Burleigh Heads or Coolangatta, or a tailored experience at a suitable resort. Each location needs its own route and timing assessment.
For Sanctuary Cove or a hinterland retreat, start with the venue brief. Avoid trying to cover the whole coast within a short race; choose a setting your group can enjoy properly.
Designed around your brief
The most useful customisation starts with a clear objective. Are you welcoming new colleagues, bringing separate departments together, rewarding a team or reinforcing a conference message? That decision guides the challenges, team mix and closing session.
Ask about clues, challenge names and creative tasks connected to your theme. Approved company content can give participants a familiar starting point, while a well-chosen task encourages them to work with the message.
For HR or L&D briefs, nominate one or two behaviours to explore, such as sharing information or making decisions together. Scope a debrief that helps people describe what happened and what they might apply at work.
Choose a lively competition or a walking-based format with time to think. Share access needs early so the proposed route, surfaces, distances and tasks can be assessed before you commit.
A varied challenge mix gives participants different ways to contribute. Navigation, timekeeping, solving clues and presenting an answer can be as valuable as completing a physical task.
Make the benefit measurable. If evaluation matters, agree it before the event: for example, participation feedback, a short confidence survey or one practical team commitment from the debrief. These are evaluation options to scope, not promised business improvements.
Completed client experience · Surfers Paradise
For SIKA’s Surfers Paradise conference, Thrill shaped an Amazing Race around trust, flexibility and bonding. The published case study describes colleagues based at QT taking part in a mix of beach, target and creative challenges.
The example shows how a corporate message can inform the activities themselves. Physical and creative tasks provided different ways for colleagues to contribute to a shared experience.

A clear proposal. A workable plan.
Before booking, confirm the full event scope. Duration alone does not tell you how much hosting, travel or activity time is included. A useful proposal identifies the route, challenge format, staffing and finish, alongside any optional extras.
Tell us what is already booked. A hotel, transport reservation or fixed conference session can determine the most practical activity window.
Want a bigger incentive itinerary? Ask about an attraction visit, jet boating, a charity element or a hosted finish at your chosen venue. Each addition should have a clear purpose and enough time to work well.
Third-party activities depend on availability, operator requirements and group suitability. Entry fees, transfers and private venue use should be itemised so there are no assumptions about what the race price covers.

Share the hotel name, group numbers and agenda. Whether your brief starts at Novotel, QT, The Langham or another Gold Coast venue, Thrill can assess a suitable meeting point and route. Venue access and any private-space requirements are confirmed during planning.
Helpful answers before you book
Allow around 2–3 hours for a typical Thrill race, including the briefing, challenges and finish. A shorter conference break or extended incentive itinerary can be scoped separately. Your proposal should confirm total running time, including any transfers and optional experiences.
Thrill’s published Gold Coast race offering covers groups of approximately 6–200 people. The appropriate format depends on your route, staffing, venue and schedule. Send your expected numbers so we can recommend team sizes and a workable checkpoint plan.
Ask for a walking-based format if that suits your group. Race performance can involve solving clues, completing tasks and working together. Share mobility, sensory and other participation requirements before booking so route access and challenge suitability can be assessed.
Yes, a hotel or conference venue can be considered as the starting or finishing point. Thrill checks the briefing space, pedestrian access, timing and proposed route. Venue approval, private-space use and any associated charges need to be agreed.
Agree the weather plan before booking. Depending on your venue and event, options may include a modified route, sheltered challenges or an indoor alternative. Availability, decision timing and any additional costs should be recorded in your proposal.
Request a tailored quote based on participant numbers, duration, host requirements, route and customisation. Ask for the total including GST and a clear separation of optional transport, attraction entry, venue charges and other extras.
Yes. Thrill can discuss company-specific clues, challenge themes and a facilitated closing discussion. Provide your objectives and approved brand material early. The SIKA Surfers Paradise case study shows how trust, flexibility and bonding informed a tailored race.
These are optional additions to discuss when planning. They are not assumed inclusions in a standard race. Third-party experiences depend on availability, participant suitability, travel time and operator conditions. Charity elements require agreed recipient and delivery arrangements.
