Incredible action packed AFL Australia Amazing Race with Thrill staff, 60 AFL umpires and coaches demonstrating their skills on a perfect day, helping local kids.
To win an ‘up there Gazalee’ red plumed amazing races champion trophy Parrot major Kudos and prizes.
Thrill staff were registering teams arrivals and waited at the first checkpoint. Nearby the AFL group eagerly awaited the staff briefing at the Coffs Harbour start line.
There was curiosity, there were nerves. But ultimately there was a lot of excited anticipation for what the next three hours of their amazing race would entail.
As we got started, the AFL Umpires groups split up into smaller teams. The AFL umpires energy and focus quickly shifted into a fun-fueled competition.
The first challenge was creating a team chant around their mission and values – however, not only an AFL team chant. This amazing group were also requested to perform a dance to accompany the beyond the saints come marching in tunes!
This was met with A LOT of creativity and imagination to say the least !

Each and every one of the AFL staff showed enthusiasm, respect and dedicated to excellence in teamwork!
The AFL Thrill Amazing Race continued with a variety of accelerating and engaging activities, all focused around building connections with one another in exciting and playful ways.
As the program content progressed there was an obvious shift amongst the group.
Some participants starting off a little shy and reserved, moved into a more confident team role. Working effectively together to become one stronger more connected and united team.
As the final Amazing race AFL team united Roadblock activity – and dare I say, most rewarding.
AFL teams each had a bike to build as part of one of our charity program.
Donating 10 BMX Stunt Bikes to Coffs Harbour Coast Wesley Mission for foster kids in the local community.
Building bikes for Wesley kids charity, was not something many had done before. It brought out the best qualities in AFL umpires.
Collaborating, working together cohesively, uniting teamwork, focusing on the sole mission to give back to the community.
